I started with adding a rasberry pi zero to our Magnifica S (DeLonghi ECAM 22.110.B)  coffee mashine.
i found a great project on https://github.com/misteu/RPiCoffee/ that got me started, i did make use of balena.io to get the basic program headless uploaded to the rasberry pi, and i created a complete new PCB.
afterwards i added some commands to another rasberry pi (3B) running homebridge to get the coffeemaker running in apple homekit.

i wil soon update a bit more on this project.
